Order & Return Policy

PRICING

Prices of all SOPHSTONE goods, delivery and other charges are in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices of SOPHSTONE Products are subject to change without notice. Quotations on all products are conditioned upon acceptance within 180 days unless otherwise stated and are subject to correction for typographic or clerical errors. Quotations on shipping are good at the time of quotation only and will be requoted and charged at the time of shipment. All prices exclude sales, use, occupation, license, excise, customs and all other taxes and fees in respect to manufacture or delivery.

ORDERING

All custom orders, regardless of account status or amount, require a 50% deposit and the remaining balance paid when manufacturing is completed. All manufacturing is done in the Indonesia SOPHSTONE factory. There will be a 15 day grace period to pay the remaining balance before storage fees are applied. An estimated lead time is based on current workload at time of estimate only and can be modified at time of order.

SOPHSTONE INC reserves the right to accept or reject your offer for any reason, including without limitation, the unavailability of any goods, an error in the price or of the goods description. Your contract with SOPHSTONE only comes into existence when SOPHSTONE advises that it has accepted your order and receipt of your payment has been confirmed.

CANCELLATION AND RETURNS

Once you place your order and a payment is made, you agree that you are not entitled to withdraw or modify your commitment made for the purchase of any goods for any reason, including without limitation, due to any delay in delivery, and SOPHSTONE reserves the right at its discretion to refund or not, any or part thereof any monies received.

Field dimensions must be submitted in writing and are the full responsibility of the Buyer. Approved submittal must be provided to SOPHSTONE in writing for both modified/custom orders and all commercial project purchase orders before it will be considered accepted. Changes in specifications or cancellations must be submitted in writing to SOPHSTONE for review, the Buyer will be subject to charges incurred due to the extent of the change or cancellation. Non-stock and custom fabrications are not subject to cancellation.

SHIPPING AND CLAIMS

SOPHSTONE will retain title to the goods you order until you have made payment in full for those goods. All risk in the goods will pass to buyer upon dispatch/shipment from SOPHSTONE or any of it’s agents.

It is the sole responsibility of the customer to open, inspect, and document all SOPHSTONE products for damage at the time of delivery or no claim can be made.

Any visible packaging damage must be inspected for actual product damage. Any physical damage to the actual product at time of delivery must be documented on the shipping carrier’s waybill and delivery refused or no claim can or will be processed.

Upon delivery receipt you have 24 hours to report any hidden defects to sales@sophstone.com or no claims can or will be processed.

In any event, SOPHSTONE will not be liable for any claim whatsoever arising from or in relation to the goods once they have been removed from it’s packaging and set into place.

No guarantee is given to what is deemed as abuse, which may include but not limited to staining, etching, scratching, or general disregard to proper maintenance/care.

All products are handmade. General markings and irregularities may be apparent and are integral to the natural material used by SOPHSTONE. As such they are natural characteristics and should not be considered imperfections and will not constitute grounds or terms for replacement, refund or repair.

The use of acidic cleaning products, bath oils, bath salts, or any chemical or agent which may damage the surface, is NOT recommended and will void all warranty.

WARRANTY

SOPHSTONE products during normal residential use are warranted to be free of MANUFACTURING DEFECTS for ten (10) years from date of purchase. On anything other than residential applications, this warranty will be limited to five (5) years from date of purchase

All SOPHSTONE products contain UV blockers and inhibitors. SOPHSTONE use the most colorfast pigments available. All of these help to protect against UV light. To the best of our efforts, slight tone variations on material and finish can still occur due to long-term exposure to natural or artificial lighting.

This warranty only applies to Manufacturing Defects and will not apply to damage caused by forces outside the relm of Manufacturing Defects which include but are not limited to:

UV light damage
Water lines from bath oils, salts, or hard water.
Staining, etching, and scratches caused from normal use and/or abuse.
Surface dulling due to improper cleaning practices, unfiltered water and/or atmospheric conditions.
Cracking or chipping cause by installation, improper installation and or abuse.
Thermal shock
Natural catastrophes or other accidents
Natural color variations and mineral mottling of a mineral glass composite SOPHSTONE product.

This manufacturer’s warranty is limited to repair or replacement at the sole discretion of SOPHSTONE.

Labor, freight, and/or any other expenses, related to the repair, removal, installation, and/or replacement of a SOPHSTONE product are not be covered by this limited warranty.

DELIVERY AND STORAGE

We can assist you with the arrangement of delivery of your goods to the agreed destination once payment has been made in full. Any shipment or delivery dates quoted by SOPHSTONE are estimated. SOPHSTONE shall be obligated to use reasonable efforts to meet such dates. SOPHSTONE will in no event be liable for any delays in delivery or failure to give notice of delay, or for any other failure to perform hereunder due to causes beyond the reasonable control of SOPHSTONE.

Such causes shall include, but not be limited to acts of God, the elements, acts or omissions of manufacturers or suppliers of the Products or parts thereof, acts or omissions of Buyer or civil and military authorities, fires, labor disputes or any other inability to obtain the Products, parts thereof, or necessary power, labor, materials or supplies. SOPHSTONE will be entitled to refuse to make, or to delay any shipments of the Products if Buyer shall fail to pay when due any payment owed by it to SOPHSTONE, whether under this or any other contract between SOPHSTONE and Buyer.
